Cut, Cored, and Prepped

RETRO Environmental cuts, cores, and prepares concrete for renovations, building conversions, infrastructure, and new installations, from a few utility penetrations to hundreds of wall cuts and full slab removals. Whether at an active hospital or a 10-story office conversion, cutting is phased around the people on site and sequenced to keep the schedule on track.

Every cut is laid out and depth-controlled around the structure and the systems in the slab, so both stay intact through the work. We cut wet with full water collection and grind with HEPA-filtered equipment to keep silica dust and slurry out of the space around us. Cores are patched and debris is cleared as we go, and openings are checked against dimensions before we leave. On surface preparation jobs, floors are handed over profiled and ready for epoxy, urethane, overlays, or polish. And because abatement is in-house too, a core through asbestos-containing tile or a cut through lead-coated block doesn’t stop the job.
