RETRO Environmental was built on one idea: do the hard work yourself, and do it right the first time. Over the years, that’s meant more than 10,000 self-performed projects in environmental abatement and remediation, selective demolition, and concrete and surface preparation across 8 states, with 200+ full-time employees working from four offices and our own equipment fleet.
We can take a single service line or all three under one contract, and we manage federal, state, and project-level compliance in-house.

Where we work: Occupied hospitals, K–12 schools on tight summer schedules, National Register historic buildings, office-to-residential conversions, multifamily properties, and secured federal facilities.

It’s the First Decision on Every Project.
Every project starts with a site-specific health and safety plan. In occupied schools, hospitals, and buildings mid-renovation, that plan covers the people using the space as well as our crews, with phased work, containment, HEPA filtration, and final clearance before any space is turned back over.
Because RETRO self-performs abatement, demolition, and concrete, one safety program covers every phase, and protocols don’t reset when a new sub arrives. RETRO received the AGC Maryland Chapter’s 2024 Safety Excellence Award.
